Raycast Pro genuinely includes screen awareness and memory. Scored on eight weighted dimensions on 24 August 2026, Jarvis (getjarvis.eu) totals 78.0/100 and Raycast AI 58.4 — and Raycast wins maturity 9 to 3.
The differences that survive checking are about shape, not absence: Raycast is a launcher you type into whose AI is a paid add-on (Pro $10/month, plus an Advanced AI add-on at +$8/month, with no AI at all on the free plan), and Jarvis is an assistant that opens over the app you are already in with every feature on a free plan capped at 40 requests a week. Raycast ships macOS and Windows 10+ and no Linux; Jarvis ships all three. Raycast has by far the larger extension ecosystem.
It covers the practical search questions buyers ask: screen context, memory, app connectors, operating-system support, daily workflow fit, and when the two products are better used together.

Raycast is a mature launcher whose Pro tier includes genuine AI — screen awareness, memory, agents and BYOK. Jarvis leads this rubric on assistant-shaped work, but Raycast beats it outright on maturity and ecosystem, and the free launcher is excellent even if you never pay for the AI.

Where Raycast AI is the better choice
- You want the biggest extension library on the Mac — This is the dimension where Raycast scores 9 and Jarvis scores 3, and it is not close. Raycast has a large public extension store built over years; Jarvis has 30+ first-party connectors and no marketplace at all. If your workflow depends on a specific community extension, Raycast is the only one of the two that can have it.
- You want a launcher first and AI second — Raycast is the faster, more refined command bar: app launching, window management, clipboard history, snippets, quicklinks and a calculator, all free forever without touching the AI tiers. Jarvis has no launcher ambitions. Plenty of people run Raycast for launching and Jarvis for the AI work.
- You want a company rather than one person — Raycast is a funded company that has shipped since 2020. Jarvis is one developer, publicly launched on 30 April 2026, and scores 3 out of 10 on maturity in our own rubric — last of the ten products in our 2026 roundup. If procurement, longevity or a support org matters, that gap is real and it favours Raycast.
- You want to bring your own model keys and pick from many models — Raycast AI exposes a wide model roster across OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, Perplexity, DeepSeek and xAI, with BYOK for OpenAI, Anthropic and Google. If choosing and paying for the underlying model yourself is the point, Raycast is built for that.
Where that leaves Jarvis honestly: it wins screen context, cross-app action, on-screen teaching and memory depth on this rubric, and it is the only one of the two on Linux or with a free tier that includes the AI. It loses maturity and ecosystem badly, has no extension marketplace, no phone or web app, and its application servers run in the US even though account data and the database are stored in the EU.
