What happens after install: on first launch Jarvis walks you through creating an account, granting the permissions your platform needs (Screen Recording and Accessibility on macOS; nothing elevated on Windows), and connecting the first apps. From then on the assistant is one hotkey away — Cmd+/ on Mac, Ctrl+/ on Windows and Linux — from every application you use. Updates ship automatically: the app checks for new versions and installs them in the background, so you download once and stay current. If you ever want to remove Jarvis, uninstalling is the normal platform route — drag it out of Applications on macOS, Settings › Apps on Windows, or delete the AppImage on Linux.

Which build to pick: on a Mac, Apple Silicon machines (M1 through M4) take Jarvis-mac-arm64.dmg and Intel Macs take Jarvis-mac-x64.dmg — the download page detects your architecture and hands you the right one. On Windows, every supported machine takes the single Jarvis-Setup-x64.exe; note there is no ARM64 build, so Snapdragon-based Windows-on-ARM laptops are not supported. On Linux, the AppImage runs on any x86_64 desktop distribution with libfuse2 present.

First three things to try after installing: press the hotkey over a real email and ask for a summary and a drafted reply; open a spreadsheet or dashboard and ask what stands out; connect one app you use daily — Gmail, Slack, or Notion — and ask a question that needs it. Those three cover the product’s core loop: screen context, real answers, and actions in your apps.

Common install questions: macOS will ask for Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions — both are required for a screen-aware assistant and are explained in-app before the system prompt appears. Windows SmartScreen may show a reputation notice on new releases; choose More info, then Run anyway. On Ubuntu 22.04 and newer, install libfuse2 first or the AppImage will silently fail to open.

All three builds are the same product: the floating bar, screen awareness, voice mode, dictation, persistent memory, and all 30+ connectors ship identically on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and one account moves between them with memory and connected apps intact. How to install Jarvis

1. Download the installer for your platform below — Jarvis-mac-arm64.dmg or Jarvis-mac-x64.dmg for macOS, Jarvis-Setup-x64.exe for Windows, Jarvis-x64.AppImage for Linux.
2. Run it: drag Jarvis into Applications on macOS, step through the installer wizard on Windows, or mark the AppImage executable (chmod +x) and launch it on Linux.
3. Open Jarvis and create a free account — no card required. The free plan starts with 40 requests every week plus a 7-day full Pro trial.
4. Grant the permissions your OS asks for (Screen Recording and Accessibility on macOS) so the assistant can read the screen you summon it over.
5. Press Cmd+/ (Mac) or Ctrl+/ (Windows/Linux) from any app to summon the floating bar and ask about whatever is on screen — or double-tap Ctrl to ask out loud with voice mode.
