For well-established libraries and standard APIs, Jarvis answers from what the underlying models already know: usage patterns, common parameters, idiomatic examples, and gotchas. The bigger advantage is screen awareness. If you have the official docs open, or a type definition or function signature visible in your editor, Jarvis reads exactly that and explains it in place, which sidesteps the version-mismatch problem that pure recall suffers from. Ask it to explain a method's arguments or generate a minimal example matching the signature on screen, and you never tab away to read reference docs.
Public API knowledge only goes so far; a lot of what developers look up lives in private wikis. Through connectors for Notion, Google Docs, Google Drive, and Obsidian, Jarvis can search your own engineering documentation, runbooks, and architecture notes and answer from them. Ask "what is our standard way of authenticating service calls?" and it retrieves the relevant internal page rather than inventing a convention. Those connector tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM, and Jarvis never trains on your documents, so internal knowledge stays internal.
