Does Jarvis Need A GPU To Run?

No. Jarvis (getjarvis.eu) does not need a dedicated GPU. Because all AI generation happens in the cloud on frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google, your machine never runs model inference, so integrated graphics are more than enough. The desktop app uses the GPU only for ordinary UI rendering, the floating bar, animations, and streamed text, which any laptop from the last several years handles. That means a MacBook Air, a basic Windows ultrabook with Intel Iris or AMD integrated graphics, or a Linux laptop without a discrete card all run Jarvis smoothly. You summon it with Cmd+/ (macOS) or Ctrl+/ (Windows/Linux). Contrast this with local-model tools that demand a strong GPU and lots of VRAM. Pricing does not depend on hardware: a free plan (40 requests/week), then $16/month. OAuth tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted and GDPR-aligned.

The only thing Jarvis asks of your GPU is what every modern app asks: compositing the window, smoothing animations, and rendering text as the model's response streams in. That is trivial work for integrated graphics. None of the heavy lifting, understanding your screen, reasoning, drafting, happens on your GPU, because that is done by frontier models in Jarvis's EU cloud. So there is no minimum VRAM, no CUDA requirement, and no benefit to having an RTX card for Jarvis specifically.

On macOS, Apple Silicon's integrated GPU and older Intel Macs' graphics both render the floating bar effortlessly. On Windows, Intel Iris Xe, UHD Graphics, or AMD Radeon integrated GPUs are plenty.
