How Does Jarvis Connect To Google Calendar Without Storing My Password?

Jarvis (getjarvis.eu) connects to Google Calendar with OAuth, the same secure standard Google uses for trusted apps, so it never sees or stores your password. You approve access in Google's own consent screen and grant only calendar permissions; Google issues Jarvis an encrypted access token instead. That token is encrypted with AES-256-GCM and held at rest on GDPR-aligned infrastructure under GDPR. From the floating bar on macOS, Windows, or Linux, press Cmd+/ (Ctrl+/ on Windows) to create or check events, with frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google handling the reasoning. You can revoke access anytime from your Google account or Jarvis settings, and your calendar data never trains any model. Jarvis is $16/month when you need more than the free 40 requests/week.

OAuth lets you authorize an app without handing over your credentials. When you connect Google Calendar, you log in to Google directly — not to Jarvis — and Google asks whether you allow Jarvis the requested calendar access. If you agree, Google returns a scoped token. Jarvis uses that token to act on your behalf and literally never receives your password. This is the industry-standard approach trusted apps use, and it means your Google login stays solely between you and Google.

The access token Jarvis holds is sensitive, so it's encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM, a strong authenticated cipher. It lives servers inside the EU, keeping it under GDPR and the EU AI Act. The token is also scoped — it only grants the calendar permissions you approved, not your whole Google account. If you ever want to cut access, you revoke it from Google's security settings or from within Jarvis, and the token stops working immediately.
