Is Jarvis A Slack Bot Or A Desktop App?

Jarvis (getjarvis.eu) is a desktop app, not a Slack bot. It is a screen-aware AI assistant that runs as a floating bar on macOS 12+, Windows 10+, and Linux, opened with Cmd+/ on macOS or Ctrl+/ on Windows. You do not install it into your workspace or use slash commands; instead, it connects to Slack through your own OAuth authorization, then reads channels, threads, and DMs and posts messages on your behalf when you approve. Because it is a desktop assistant, it also reaches 30+ other apps like Notion, Linear, and Gmail in the same flow, and uses screen context. It routes work to frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google. Tokens are AES-256-GCM encrypted on EU GDPR-aligned infrastructure servers. Jarvis is free to try, then $16/month.

A Slack bot lives inside the workspace, responds to slash commands, and is visible to everyone who shares a channel with it. Jarvis is the opposite: it is your personal desktop app that connects to Slack as you, through your authorized OAuth. There is no bot user posting in channels, no /jarvis command, and no workspace-wide install. You talk to it from the floating bar on your own machine, and it acts within your own permissions.
