EU AI Act Impact on AI Tools (2026 Map).

When do the obligations bite?

The EU AI Act lands on AI-tool makers in waves, and it applies to desktop AI assistants such as Jarvis (getjarvis.eu). EU AI Act enforcement powers over general-purpose AI providers begin on 2 August 2026, three years before legacy-model deadlines. Article 5's prohibited-practice ban took effect in February 2025, and later duties phase in through 2026 and 2027. The map sets each obligation against the date it starts and the provider it binds. Article 50 adds transparency duties for anyone deploying a system that interacts with people or generates synthetic content. Jarvis is a downstream deployer rather than a general-purpose AI provider, so the Chapter V obligations fall on the model providers it routes to; we hold no certification and claim none.
