Only what is needed to answer: Jarvis (getjarvis.eu) is a desktop AI assistant that sends your prompt and the captured screen. Unrelated files, idle apps, and other browser tabs are not swept up, and nothing is captured until you press Cmd+/ or Ctrl+/. Connector data moves only when you use a connected app; OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and data at rest sits under EU data residency. That payload travels over TLS to the backend, then to the model picked for the task (frontier models from Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google). Your full filesystem, idle background apps, and unrelated browser tabs are never swept up. Connector data (Gmail, Slack, Notion) is fetched only when a task requires it. Each Jarvis turn sends three things: your typed prompt, the conversation history for that session, and optionally one screenshot of the foreground window if you triggered screen awareness with Cmd+/. Nothing is captured continuously. There is no always-on screen recording, no periodic upload, and no telemetry of which apps you have open. If you ask a pure text question, no screenshot is taken at all. The request is encrypted in transit with TLS to the backend, which forwards the minimal context to whichever model fits the task.

Your local files stay on disk unless you paste or attach them. Other monitors, hidden windows, and apps you are not actively using are out of scope. Jarvis does not read your clipboard in the background, does not scan your hard drive, and does not enumerate installed software. Connector access (Gmail, Slack, Notion, Linear, GitHub) is scoped and on-demand: Jarvis pulls a thread or document only at the moment a task needs it, using your OAuth grant, then discards the working copy after responding.
